This blog is part of a personal research project on the cultural aspects underlying the existence of political corruption in society. Political corruption is not truly a new phenomenon. It is my belief that through raising awareness about the consequences of actions among public officials which depart from the rules, norms and laws for the sake of private gain; citizens will improve the functioning of democratic values.
This is the principle of transparency of public actions. Thus if citizens are well informed and public officials were transparent in their actions we will be living in a perfect world!
This space aims at contributing to dissemination of information on previous research; published books; screened films; taught courses; presentations at conferences regarding political corruption and anticorruption policies across the world.
